This special report provides an overview of the United States slaughter industry, encompassing both poultry and red meat production. Included in the report is data on number of heads, average live weight, average dressed weight, number of operations, production, and post-mortem and ante-mortem condemnation (for poultry). Also discussed are changes and trends in the commercial slaughter industry compared to historical data. The data was obtained through inspectors from the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and USDA.

This annual report examines world and U.S. production, consumption, trade, stocks, and prices for rice. Thisis a supplement to Rice Outlook. Note: Starting in July, contains no updates from suspended NASS Rice Stocks report.

This special report examines some of the issues that affected the current cattle cycle such as weather, and provides commentary of value of production, prices received, inventory, slaughter, number of operations and cattle per operation, imports and exports, and gross income . In addition, the report also considers the role and production method of cattle being fed for the slaughter market; a brief description of survey procedures and sampling methods; and terminology and definitions used in NASS cattle publications.

This monthly report examines the monthly U.S. agricultural imports and exports on both a commodity basis as well as a country by country basis. Regular publication of this report has ceased after the February 2007 issue, however periodic reports are still being issued.

These bulletins provide final and revised estimates of noncitrus fruits and nuts for yield, area planted, area harvested, yield, production, utilization, price, and value by States and the U.S. Individual issues contain data from years 1909 to 2012. Estimates are available in incremental 5-year periods and provide a historical record and benchmark for current estimates.

This report surveys monthly and cumulative quantities of catfish delivered in the United States, including fingerlings, broodfish, and foodsize catfish. The report refers strictly to catfish feed delivered to bona fide catfish producers and excludes catfish feed delivered to producers of other species. The totals include both bagged and bulk feed.

This monthly full-text file contains the most current information on farm-raised catfish, including round weight purchased, prices paid, inventory, quantity sold, price, imports and exports. This report is supplemented by Catfish Production. The report refers strictly to farm-raised fish and excludes wild captured fish.

This dataset contains annual U.S. national and state data on acreage, yield, production, supply, disappearance, per capita use, price, and value for cantaloupe. Additional statistics include annual and monthly shipments, arrivals, U.S. exports and imports by country, usual planting and harvesting dates, agricultural chemical use as well as world production, area, and trade of cantaloups and other melons. This dataset was last updated June 19, 2013.

This watermelon data set contains time series data for the the period 1950-2012 at the U.S. and State-level for such variables as watermelon acreage, yield, production, price, and value. Other series include U.S. per capita disappearance (consumption), U.S. trade--by product, country (1978-2012), market shipment volume, U.S. arrivals in major cities (through 1998), world production and trade by country, usual planting and harvesting dates, and major varieties planted. This report is a survey conducted by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) as part of the NIOSH Occupational Injury Surveillance of Production Agriculture project, and contains information on occupational injuries to adults on farms in the US in 2001, 2004, and 2009. Demographic information, source of injury, and changes in incidence of farm injuries are included in the survey.

This report is the product of a telephone survey of farm operators to obtain information for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The survey was conducted to understand the scope and magnitude of hazards on agricultural operations, including the sources of hazards and the leading causes of occupational injuries. Farm operators were asked questions about their farm tractors and other safety and health issues associated with their farm in 2011.

This report, released annually from 1991 to 2013, includes statistics about on-farm fertilizer and pesticide usage, and pest management practices on selected field crops and potatoes. Prevention, avoidance, monitoring, and suppression practices are also investigated in the survey. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), and can be found under the NASS Chemical Usage Program.
