This dataset contains annual data on U.S. national and state acreage, yield, production and value of fresh cabbage and cabbage for sauerkraut. Also includes monthly prices, price indexes, usual planting and harvesting dates, varieties planted, per capita use as well as annual and monthly world acreage and production by country, and world trade. Data set updated March 2011.

This release includes pesticide use and pest management data for nursery and floriculture crops in California, Florida, Michigan, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Quantity and frequency of use, types of active ingredients applied, and application practices are included in the survey. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), the latest data releases are available under the NASS Chemical Usage Program.

This dataset contains the annual U.S. national and state data on acreage, yield, production, price, value, and per capita use of lettuce. Additional statistics include monthly domestic shipments as well as annual and monthly import and exports from selective country and global production, yield, and import/exports. Dataset last updated January 2011.

The U.S. Carrot Statistics data product provides information on fresh and proccessed carrots for the United States and individual States for 1960-2009. Acreage, yield, production, price, and value are presented by major State. Additional statistical series includes supply and disappearance, per capita consumption (use), price indexes, shipments, arrivals, usual planting and harvesting dates; varieties planted; U.S. exports and imports by country; world area, production, imports and exports by country for carrots and turnips. Dataset was last updated January 2011.

Notice: This report has been discontinued as of Dec. 28, 2010. Weekly crop updates will continue to be available in NASS's Crop Progress report, released every Monday during the growing season. Agricultural weather-related information will continue to be published weekly by the USDA's World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB), which publishes the Weekly Weather and Crop Bulletin every Wednesday at noon. Formerly, NASS' report contained weekly national agricultural weather summaries, including the weather's effect on crops; summaries and farm progress for 44 states and New England area. This report includes corrections to the Crop Progress data released the previous day.

These tables include the majority of the known published data on U.S. dry peas and lentils, as well as some chickpea data, though the USDA formally groups chickpeas with dry edible beans. Information on U.S. acreage, production, monthly and weekly prices, crop value, supply. per capita use, and import and export statistics are contained in this dataset. World area, production, and import and export volumes are also included. The data tables are in downloadable in .xls format.

This handbook identifies the usual planting and harvesting dates on a state by state basis for United States field crops covered in the National Agricultural Statistics Service's National program of crop estimates. It updates the information contained in the previous edition of this handbook which was issued in 1997.

This full-text file presents state and U.S. data on the number of head and value of losses of sheep, lambs and goats from animal predators; also data on total losses from all causes including non-predator loss (digestive and respiratory problems, weather-related causes, theft, etc.). Data is given by predator or group of predators, including coyotes, dogs, mountain lions, cougars, pumas, bears, foxes, eagles, bobcats, and other (wolves, ravens, crows, pigs, etc.). The report was prepared via surveys from a random sample of U.S. producers.

This annual summary contains revised weekly weighted average prices received and aggregated volumes of sales of cheddar cheese, butter, nonfat dry milk, and dry whey. All revised estimates are based on three data sources: Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) verification data performed by AMS auditors, resubmitted data to correct inaccuracies exposed by NASS during data analysis and/or discrepancy evaluation, and resubmitted data inaccuracies discovered by the plant during an internal review of program specifications to comply with the mandatory reporting rules. The release of the new Dairy Products Prices Annual Summary will incorporate all verification data and any other resubmitted plant data previously not available during the four week revision period.

This report includes data on annual U.S. and global trade, prices, production, and consumption of wine. Also included are analysis on developments affecting trade in wine.

This special report contains historic revisions of number of trout operations, grower sales, and fish losses for selected states; includes number, weight, and value produced by type (foodsize, stocker, fingerlings), number and value of egg sales by region, percent sold by outlet type, and number, pounds and percent by cause of trout lost. A narrative of the history and background of trout production in the U.S. is also included. Trout data for this report was collected through three different surveys: the Annual Trout Survey, the Census of Agriculture, and the Census of Aquaculture.
