This report includes data on U.S. trade on a country by country basis and on a commodity basis in labeled organic foods. Also included are analysis of developments affecting trade in organics.

This release includes statistics for on-farm use of agricultural chemicals and pest management practices from producers of targeted fruit crops in major producing states. The survey population consisted of fruit and berry growers and the survey was intended to provide estimates of chemical usage at the state level. On non-survey year, acreage is based on trends, county extension service data, end of year production surveys, and other indicators. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), the latest data releases are available under the NASS Chemical Usage Program

International Agriculture and Trade Situation and Outlook Reports

This dataset contains annual and monthly data on U.S. national and state apple farm numbers, acreage, yield, production, prices, crop value, trade, supply, and per capita use of apples and apple products. Also included are the monthly data on apple and apple product shipments, imports and exports, and world production and acreage of apples. Data set updated May 2010.

This report contains the annual summary for dairy, poultry, and slaughter on farms and in commercial plants, as well as coffee, for Puerto Rico. Dairy estimates include milk cows, production of milk, milkfat, milk used, marketings and value. Poultry estimates include layer and egg production, pullets, other chickens, value, and price. Slaughter estimates include, red meat production, number of plants and head slaughtered. Data on coffee includes the harvested acreage, yield, production, value, and price of coffee. Also included is data on the number of farms, land in farms, and average size as an aggregate and by economic class.

This report contains data concerning the injuries sustained by working and non-working youths under the age of 20. The data is presented on an age range basis, regional basis, and gender basis. The data found in this report results from a telephone survey of 50,000 farm operators to obtain information for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

This report contains weekly weighted average prices received and aggregated volumes of sales of cheddar cheese, butter, nonfat dry milk, and dry whey. Information is based on a survey of manufacturers that sell specific products on a bulk, wholesale basis. Regional data is published where possible. Weekly reports contain the most recent five weeks of data.

This release includes statistics for on-farm use of fertilizers, agricultural chemicals and pest management practices from producers of targeted vegetable crops in 19 states. The chemical use estimates focus on acreage treated with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and other pesticides for selected vegetable crops. Information for fruit is collected in odd numbered years, while vegetable information is collected in even numbered years. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), the latest data releases are available under the NASS Chemical Usage Program.

Compares the income and financial outlook for the U.S farm sector, farm businesses, and farm households in December 2010 with the outlook in December 2011. Chapter 1 of the report outlines the farm income outlook and drivers (e.g. production expenses, payments to stakeholders) that affect U.S. farm operations earnings. Chapter 2 discusses farm households and their economic well-being based off income, assets, debt, and net worth. Chapter 3 discusses projections of farm enterprise income based off of application of sector level forecasts to Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS) data. Chapter 4 discusses the financial position of the agricultural sector in terms of farm asset values and farm sector debt.

Renewable Identification Number (RIN) for biofuels created by the EPA as a unit of compliance to assist with the implementation of the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), which currently sets annual mandates on renewable transportation fuels through 2022. This report was created to facilitate an understanding of the RIN market, which is heavily tied to understanding the effects of RFS mandates on the biofuel and feedstock markets. This report discusses the details of the RIN system and its role in the implementation of the current RFS2, and examines supply, use, prices, and trade for biofuels and biofuel feedstocks both domestically and prospectively in major producing, importing, and exporting countries. Additionally, the report examines historical data and USDA baseline projections in order to generate projections of the biofuel and feedstock markets. The report primarily focuses on ethanol and corn, biodiesel and soybeans. It also contains information on other biofuel feedstocks and second-generation biofuels such as cellulosic and biofuel co-products such as distiller's grains.

The statistical information in this dataset provides information from 1965-2011 concerning the U.S. mushroom industry. The data set contains series at the U.S., State, and Region-level for mushroom area, yield, production, price, value, sales, and per capita use. Other series include U.S. trade (by product and country), various Census tables, and world production and trade by country for mushrooms and truffles. Dataset last updated August 31, 2011.

This special report presents historical data on the sheep and goat industries including a historical overview of the sheep and goat sector, inventory, operation numbers, inventory values, sheep, lamb, and wool prices, lamb crop, and value of production. The report highlights changes in the sheep industry over the past quarter century, such as in numbers of sheep and goats, wool production, slaughter, and gross income. The data in the report is based on a probability survey of all operations with at least one head of sheep or goats.

This data product provides detailed statistics on sweet potatoes for the United States and individual sweet potato-producing states for 1960-2010. Acreage, yield, production, and value are presented by State. Other statistical series include U.S. per capita use, price indexes, shipments, arrivals, exports and imports by county, and selected cost of production. World acreage, production, exports, and imports are also included. Dataset updated June 2011.

This dataset contains data covering the economics of the U.S. fresh and processing broccoli industry. The time series data covers U.S. national and state area, yield, production, prices, value as well as U.S. trade by country, per capita use (disappearance), and usual harvesting dates and varieties by State. Also included are data series for world area and production and world trade by country of broccoli and cauliflower. Data-set updated June 2011.

This report is a cooperative effort of the National Agricultural Statistics Service and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service's Veterinary Services division, including non-ambulatory cattle and calf totals by region, weight category, and type of operation. It provides data on number of head and total value of cattle and calves lost by cause, as well as a percentage of predator and non-predator losses by predator and type, respectively.

The dry bean datasets include area, yield, production, price, and value information by state and dry bean production by class and state, as well as various indexes.In addition, per capita disappearance, world area, production, price, and export and import volume information is also included. The data tables are in .xls format and are downloadable either separately or collectively in a .zip file.

This dataset contains the annual, seasonal, and monthly U.S. production, acreage, value, prices, imports, exports, per capita use, and beginning stocks for major fresh market and processed vegetables from 1970 onward. This dataset also includes data for potatoes, sweet potatoes, dry beans and peas, and fresh and processed mushrooms.

This annual report provides historical statistics for Grain Stocks report which contains stocks of all wheat, durum wheat, corn, sorghum, oats, barley, soybeans, flaxseed,canola, rapeseed, rye, sunflower, safflower, mustard seed, by states and U.S. and by position (on-farm or off-farm storage). Reports of stock holdings were normally received from operations
covering about 90 percent of the capacity, with estimates made for missing facilities.

The agricultural chemical use estimates in this report are based on data compiled from the Postharvest Chemical Use Survey. All results refer to pesticide applications and integrated pest management at off-farm storage and processing facilities after harvest. On-farm postharvest applications were beyond the scope of this survey. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), the latest data releases are available under the NASS Chemical Usage Program.

This dataset contains the annual U.S. national and state data on area, yield, production, crop value supply, per capita utilization, and prices of onion. Additional statistics are available for monthly domestic shipments as well as yearly and monthly imports and exports by country and global area, production, yield, and trade.
