Overview of the U. S. Trout Industry

This special report contains historic revisions of number of trout operations, grower sales, and fish losses for selected states; includes number, weight, and value produced by type (foodsize, stocker, fingerlings), number and value of egg sales by region, percent sold by outlet type, and number, pounds and percent by cause of trout lost. A narrative of the history and background of trout production in the U.S. is also included. Trout data for this report was collected through three different surveys: the Annual Trout Survey, the Census of Agriculture, and the Census of Aquaculture.
