This report is a weekly or bi-weekly hay report containing trades, ask, and offering prices for forage commodities which include hay, straw, and silage. Hay is classified and graded using USDA hay quality designations and guidelines based on test parameters and/or physical description. Price information is released by USDA’s Livestock, Poultry, and Grain Market News Division under the Voluntary Price Reporting authority of USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Service. This report will display a price range and weighted average price for established trades, and a bid price range if a trade is not established, but an asking price is given by a potential seller or offering price given by a potential buyer.

This report contains information on direct domestic slaughter cattle trade in Nebraska. Includes head counts, weight, and price information for formula, negotiated grid, and forward contract purchases on a live and dressed basis.

Weekly Major Packer Hide Report

This report covers Texas-Oklahoma-New Mexico negotiated cattle purchases. Cattle are categorized on a live or dressed basis, as well as by sex and grade. Each category contains the head count, weights, and prices of sold cattle. Also included are confirmed transactions and accumulations of the current month, the prior month, and over the same time period last year.

National Weekly Grain Co-Products Report

This daily weighted average cattle report contains information on negotiated purchases made within the month, including the total confirmed, with comparisons to a month and a year ago. Information is provided both on a live delivered and dressed deliver basis.

This monthly release contains the head count (compared with last month and last year), weight range, price range, average weight, and average price for steers and heifers by grade and on a dressed delivered basis. The report also contains the monthly accumulated head count, average weight, and average price of live and dressed steers and heifers for the past month compared with the same period last month and last year. Feedlot areas covered by the report are: Texas/Oklahoma/New Mexico; Kansas; Nebraska; Colorado; Iowa/Minnesota.
