This report presents, by States, revised estimates of the number of cattle and calves on feed for market by quarters for 1955 to 1959. Detailed data showing the number on feed by classes, by weight groups, by length of time on feed groups, and data on marketings and placements is also included.

Beginning in 1955, separate estimates were made for the production of chicks hatched for broilers and those hatched for egg production.
