This publication presents final estimates of prices received by farmers for all milk (1935-78), fluid market milk (1948-78), manufacturing grade milk (1948-78), milkfat in cream (1935-78), and milk sold directly to consumers (1935-78). Also included are the fat tests for all milk, fluid market milk, and manufacturing grade milk for the period of 1953 to 1978.

This publication presents final estimates of prices received by farmers for potatoes and sweet potatoes, by state, for the years 1909 to 1978. Monthly and seasonal averages are also provided.

Reports in this series analyzed the forces that were changing agriculture and agricultural trade in selected regions and trade areas from 1978 to 1983. Analysis includes short- and long-term projections for supply, and trade of key commodities in the selected areas. Reports span large regions such as Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, the former Soviet Union and can be as large the entire Western Hemisphere. Once this publication ceased production, its contents were included in the publication Farmline.

This full-text report contains the mid-June production (in either pounds or tons) forecast for the annual crop of tart and sweet cherries, by producing state and for the U.S. as a whole. This publication was produced between 1971 and 1983.

This report contains the estimates of the average price received by farmers and the average milkfat test for milk of manufacturing grade for the preceding month for the Minnesota-Wisconsin area, which produces over half of the manufacturing grade milk in the United States. The estimates are based on reports containing the total pounds of manufacturing grade milk received from producers, total pounds of milkfat in the milk, and total dollars paid to producers and an estimate of change from the base month. The current Minnesota-Wisconsin manufacturing-grade milk price combined with the final estimate for the two states, alongside the corresponding comparisons for milkfat percentage, are contained in the "Final Two-State Estimate," which are weighted averages of the final monthly prices for the two states combined.

This publication presents information on the manufacturer's shipments, stocks and selling prices for dry milk products, whey and modified whey products for selected states. In February 1983, this publication was discontinued and data from this publication began being covered in the monthly Dairy Products publication.

This publication was produced between 1937 and 1982. Data on the supply and demand for oil seeds, including soybeans, cotton, flax, peanut and sunflowers, is charted and prices per unit are listed by line item (i.e., baking; margarine; salad oil; other edible).

Effective November 1982, this report became the Livestock and Poultry Outlook and Situation, reflecting its merger with the Poultry and Egg Outlook and Situation. It was published under the title Livestock and Meat Outlook and Situation from 1947 to 1982 and reported on factors that affected the livestock industry and the consumption and sale of hogs, cattle, sheep and lamb.

This publication was published between 1937 and 1982. It covers factors affecting the poultry and egg industries, the number of chickens, hens and other poultry raised, slaughtered and sold, and the number of eggs produced. The content of this report was previously published under the titles the Poultry and Egg Situation and the Poultry and Egg Outlook.

This publication reported on trends in the export markets, including drops and inclines for specific commodities. Forecasts for coming years are included in each report. This archive contains only the data from 1982.

This publication provides information about trout production, including the number of U.S. trout facilities in operation, the number of workers involved in that production, and the stocker, foodsize and feed sales by year. Information was collected by mail or telephone survey from all known commercial trout producers in 1980.
