This magazine was published from 1978-1990 and contains nontechnical, general interest articles and historical data on food supply, food demand, food prices, and food spending. The articles report on ERS analyses and insights on a wide variety of topics related to the U.S. food marketing system, including food consumption, food product development, international food trade, food safety, and food-related policies and programs. This monthly publication presents on the number of chicks hatched and eggs produced from 1970 to 1989. Average number of layers by the thousands and total eggs produced by the millions are presented for every chicken-producing state in the U.S.

It was produced from 1942 to 1988.

This publication presents data on the production (in pounds or tons) that were forecast for the annual crop of tart and sweet cherries, by producing state and the U.S. Total produced and utilized as well as canned or frozen, are also noted.
