SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (723), 
FOREST (1,131), MERIDIAN (469), MACON (320), HOUSTON (423), 
WEST POINT (1,004), AND GRENADA (311) ON Mon Jul 29, 2019.

Receipts:     4,381          Last Week:     3,974        Year:    3,900

Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher 
and bulls sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Feeder steers sold 3.00 to 6.00 higher 
and heifers sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. 
The supply included 16 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 57 percent 
steers and 43 percent heifers, with an estimated 11 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
