   Compared to last week at Sioux Falls, SD slaughter lambs steady;
slaughter ewes steady to 3.00 lower with most decline on Goods; feeder
lambs not well tested.

Slaughter Lambs:   Choice and Prime 2-3 90-150 lbs:
  Sioux Falls:    shorn and wooled 105-145 lbs 146.00-154.50.
Slaughter Lambs:  Choice and Prime 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    70 lbs 162.50; 80-90 lbs 157.00-171.00; 90-95 lbs
                  159.00-167.00; 100-120 lbs 142.50-163.00.
Slaughter Ewes:
  Sioux Falls:    Good 3-4 (very fleshy) 72.00-78.00; Good 2-3 (fleshy)
                  56.00-67.00; Utility 1-2 (thin) 49.00-52.00; Cull 1
                  26.00-36.00.  
Feeder Lambs:   Medium and Large 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    62 lbs 167.50; 87 lbs 157.50; 95 lbs 155.00.
Replacement Ewes: Medium and Large 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    no test.

Sheep and lamb slaughter under federal inspection for the week to date
totaled 23,000 compared with 22,000 last week and 23,000 last year.
