   Compared to last week at Sioux Falls, SD slaughter lambs steady;
slaughter ewes steady; feeder lambs not well tested.  At New Holland, PA
slaughter lambs 5.00-10.00 higher; slaughter ewes steady.

Slaughter Lambs:   Choice and Prime 2-3 90-150 lbs:
  Sioux Falls:    shorn and wooled 105-150 lbs 149.00-156.00.
  New Holland:    shorn and wooled 100-150 lbs 210.00-245.00; 160 lbs
                  185.00.
Slaughter Lambs:  Choice and Prime 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    wooled and shorn 70-80 lbs 175.00-178.00; 80-90 lbs
                  165.00-177.50; 90-95 lbs 167.50-168.00.
  New Holland:    wooled and shorn 40-50 lbs 175.00-200.00; 50-70 lbs

Sheep and lamb slaughter under federal inspection for the week to date
totaled 23,000 compared with 23,000 last week and 24,000 last year.
