Cotton on hand in consuming establishments at the end of June was 684,906 bales, and the total in public storage and in compresses was 3,886,310 bales. Active consuming cotton spindles totaled 2,580,000, and the quantity of domestic cotton exported, excluding linters, was 674,300 bales.
