     Whey Protein Concentrate - Central and Western U.S.

     Whey protein concentrate 34% prices are unchanged this week. Demand is a bit mixed. While
     some contacts suggest that end users have the WPC 34% they need on hand, others say
     inquiries and spot sales have picked up over the last few weeks. A few contacts think higher
     prices within the nonfat dry milk market and less availability of higher whey protein
     concentrations have prompted buyers to look more favorably at WPC 34% for their protein
     needs. WPC 34% inventories vary by brand. Brands that are synced into infant formula and
     tight end user specifications are tight, whereas WPC 34% that is interchangeable with other
     protein sources is more available. WPC 34% production is steady.
