MD_DA771 Whey Protein Concentrate - Central and Western U.S. Report 6 - Released on February 10, 2022 Prices for whey protein concentrate 34% moved higher at the top of both the price range and the mostly price series. At the bottom of each series, prices held steady. Industry contacts relay that buyers may still have a yen for dairy whey proteins, but spot market activity was quiet this week. Buyers are making regular inquiries to manufacturers for available WPC 34%. However, WPC 34% inventories are tight. Manufacturers want to make sure they leave enough for contracted customers and are trying to not overcommit. WPC 34% production is steady, but elevated demand for higher whey protein concentrations is limiting the amount of whey solids available for WPC 34% production.
