Heifers under 650 lbs sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher, over 650 lbs sold steady to 2.00 higher. Order buyers and farmer/feeders bid readily from start to finish on a large run of cattle on a very cold January day. Demand on Wednesday was the best it’s been all month. Wide range of flesh scores in the run, ranging from thin to fleshy with majority of the offerings displaying average flesh. Wednesday’s offering comprised of 56 percent steers with near 82 percent over 600 lbs. Next week, February 06 expecting 3500 head of calves and feeder cattle.
