MD_DA640 Nonfat Dry Milk - Western U.S. Report 9 - Released on February 27, 2020 Western low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) prices have declined on the range and on the mostly series. Several sellers have limited their purchases to what is necessary in the short-term, in anticipation that prices will likely further decrease. The fear of the coronavirus has created some issues with shipments, as well as an additional slowdown in sale volumes. Low/medium heat NDM production is increasing because of growing milk output in the West. Inventories are trending a bit higher, but remain manageable. High heat NDM prices are down on the range. Production is irregular, whereas supplies have tightened. Sales are generally on contracts.
