MD_DA640 Nonfat Dry Milk - Western U.S. Report 35 - Released on August 29, 2019 Western f.o.b. prices for low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) are trending up on both ends of the range while remaining steady on the mostly series. There was a little increase in market activity throughout the week. Some end users are locking in Q4 contracts. Buyers from Latin America and a few from Indonesia requested more loads of U.S. NDM. Domestic demand for low/medium heat NDM is mostly stable. Production is also flat. Low/medium heat NDM inventory levels have declined, but there are still enough on hand to cover all needs. High heat NDM prices have not changed from the prior week. The market tone is even, with spot sales remaining light. Contractual demands for high heat NDM are steady and are the driving force behind the quantity that processors are willing to produce. Inventories are limited.
