Introduction: This bulletin presents final estimates, including revisions made by the Agricultural Statistics Board (ASB), for the production years 2013 through 2017. The disposition and income from milk production for 2013- 2017 were published during calendar years 2014-2018. Data included in this publication provide a historic record and a benchmark for current estimates. Number of milk cows, production per cow, and total production were published in Statistical Bulletin No. 1055. Procedures: Revisions were made after a thorough review of the original survey data and all additional data now available, including the 2017 Census of Agriculture. Other data series considered included Federal Milk Market Orders, receipts of milk by plants and dealers, and any other available administrative information. The 2013-2017 estimates shown herein are considered final and will not be revised again. At the National level, revisions to estimates of milk production and annual number of milk cows were less than one percent.
