SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance 


Prices in New York are up 4 cents on heavier weight eggs, unchanged for
Medium.  The undertone is steady to higher.  Retail and food service
demand ranges moderate to very good, mostly moderate to fairly good.  
Offerings are light to moderate and remains held in confident hands in
the Midwest region.  Supplies range light to instances fully adequate
for anticipated needs.  Market activity is slow to moderate in California,
moderate to active in the Midwest and moderate elsewhere.  Breaking stock
offerings are at times light to moderate; breaking schedules range less
than normal to extended, mostly full-time.  Light type hen offerings are
light to moderate for the moderate demand.
