SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance


New York egg prices are lower.  California and regional prices are 
steady.  The undertone is steady to higher in California, steady to 
lower elsewhere.  Supplies are in a full range of tight to heavy, 
mostly moderate.  Current offerings are light to moderate.  Demand 
is moderate to fairly good in most areas, but moderate to good in 
California where ads are a factor.   Market activity is active in 
California, slow to moderate in the Midwest, moderate in the remaining 
areas.  Breaking stock supplies are moderate; breaking schedules are 
irregular.  Spent fowl supplies are sufficient; processing schedules 
are normal.
