Milk yields are reportedly also increasing week to week. Market participants note silage quality/yields are very good. Class I demand is stable. Class III sales are growing with cheese operations receiving strong milk volumes for their immediate needs. Milk prices are steady, flat Class up to $1 over Class. Seasonal products are clearing additional milk loads. In general, milk volumes are mostly balanced. Transportation disruptions continue to impact the dairy industry. Market participants report cream is available, however some orders cannot be filled due to location/delivery challenges. Butter production is intermittent with higher cream prices. Cream cheese production schedules are picking up. The DMN October average for Midwest Class II cream was $2.4019, compared to $2.3985 a month ago.
