     Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports

     Report 23 - Released on June 09, 2022

     Casein prices remained steady again this week on slower trading activity due to very limited
     supplies. Some producers have reported working on potential sales for the next few weeks,
     but those shipments will not be expected until the mid-summer months. Acid casein offers,
     they say, are expected to continue their recent trend of increasing prices. Traders who work
     with rennet casein say price points they are currently working in are still within the
     current range, but toward the northern end of said range. Market tones are on very
     stable/firm ground, based on milk production limits and continuing substantial demand needs,
     both in the domestic and global markets.

     The DMN monthly average price for rennet casein in May was $5.4114, compared to $5.1695 in
     April. The May average price for acid casein was $6.6250, compared to $6.5650 in April.
