     Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports

     Report 2 - Released on January 13, 2022


     Global casein and caseinate markets face tight milk supplies and significantly increased
     demand from China. Acid casein moved up sharply at the low end of the price range as any odd
     spot market scraps remaining from 2021 are gone. The rennet casein price range firmed.
     Sources comment emphatically about the tight milk supplies which restrict casein production.
     Tightness comes from generally steady to lower production intersecting increased demand.

     Sources see little prospect of any significant change in the fundamentals in coming months.
     Thus, prices are expected to increase into 2022.

     Restricted, All Mesh Sizes, Conventional, and Edible Casein
