     Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports

     Report 16 - Released on April 21, 2022

     Acid and rennet casein prices held steady on another slower trading week, based on what
     contacts are calling a very tight market. Demand strength is unwavering. Producers say there
     is a pull for both rennet and acid casein, and although some say they typically have a
     seasonal shift in production to rennet casein, they are now trying to add to acid casein
     schedules. New Zealand and European production/inventories are in different stages based on
     their respective milking seasons, but they have been secured via contracts in a number of
     cases. Similar statements have been relayed from South American regional producers. Market
     tones remain firm.

     Restricted, All Mesh Sizes, Conventional, and Edible Casein
