     Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports

     Report 10 - Released on March 05, 2020

     Rennet casein and acid casein prices moved higher. There was more movement in rennet prices
     than acid prices. Nevertheless, demand is viewed as generally steady by market participants.
     This is the time of year when buyers are factoring lowering milk production in Oceania
     against increasing milk production in the EU in terms of casein production expectations.
     Some market participants were unsure what led to the slight price strength of casein
     contrasted with weakening pricing in dairy powders in Oceania. In any event, most buyers
     already have short term casein needs covered. Remaining buyers who decided to conclude deals
     in the short term pushed the prices up. This is a small portion of casein deliveries from
     manufacturers and traders.

     Restricted, All Mesh Sizes, Conventional, and Edible Casein

     Acid; Price Range - $/LB:                    3.6275-3.8450
     Rennet; Price Range - $/LB:                  4.4500-4.5475

     At GDT event 255 on March 3, 2020, the rennet casein all contracts price, $4.4865,
     increased 0.5 percent. The April contract price, $4.4997, increased 2.3 percent while the
     May price, $4.5473 decreased 0.1 percent.
