     Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports

     Report 40 - Released on October 06, 2022

     Acid and rennet casein prices are unchanged after multiple weeks of price movements. Some
     contacts say they are finalizing Q4 contracts on both acid and rennet casein varieties. In
     Europe, there are clearly some questions ahead regarding processing costs and milk
     availability. In New Zealand, casein processing is expected to increase alongside milk
     production, but to what degree has yet to be determined. Overall, casein market tones are
     quietly assured.

     The DMN monthly average price for rennet casein in September was $6.0043, compared to
     $5.6150 in August. The September average price for acid casein was $6.9381, compared to
     $6.9500 in August.
