     Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports

     Report 40 - Released on October 07, 2021

     Acid and rennet casein prices are unchanged on notably firm/tight, yet quiet, markets.
     Producers who have availability are offering limited quantities, reportedly all over $5/lb.
     Contracts for the final quarter have been worked up and contacts continue to work to secure
     Q1 and H1 2022 contracts, as well. Undoubtedly, prices are in rarefied air, and producers
     report that due to the worldwide freight cost increases and logistical issues, they are
     willing to adjust some pricing.
     Prices for: Spot Sales And Up to 3 Month Contracts, Free on Board - Warehouse, Non-
     Restricted, All Mesh Sizes, Conventional, and Edible Casein

     Acid; Price Range - $/LB:                    4.7000-5.2175
     Rennet; Price Range - $/LB:                  4.7000-4.9000
