     Casein - National Casein Report for U.S. Imports

     Report 17 - Released on April 28, 2022

     Acid and rennet casein prices remained on steady ground on slowed trading activity. The
     slowdown of the rapid price ascent comes at a time when Chinese buying activity has ebbed
     due to COVID-19 related strictures. Some production shifts to balance out the demand needs
     continue to be worked out in the Latin American region. New Zealand's production schedule is
     likely nearing its seasonal curtain call, after reports throughout the milking season have
     been less than optimal from the onset. Contractual obligations are on the forefront of
     processors' agendas now, so spot trading may be slower near-term.

     Restricted, All Mesh Sizes, Conventional, and Edible Casein
