     Prices for rennet casein and acid casein are steady. Market activity is light during this
     late December phase of the year. Most buyers are stocked for current needs. Current
     production is mostly going to fill contract obligations, with some adding to stocks for
     future contract obligations, leaving light spot market activity.

     Restricted, All Mesh Sizes, Conventional, and Edible Casein

     United States casein imports January-October this year are -18.6 percent compared with the
     same period of 2017, according to CLAL. New Zealand, historically a significant source of
     casein for the U.S., remains the top source, albeit with a percentage decline through
     October this year compared with last year. Sharp increases in imports from Ireland, France
     and Argentina result in more total imports from those sources than from New Zealand. More
