Soybeans gained support yesterday over weather concerns in South America. With some areas of Brazil in desperate need of moisture and some areas in Argentina that are experiencing issues with potential flooding. Export sales and shipment numbers remain uncertain as the government shutdown rolls into its 27th day. Wheat was 22 cents lower to 5 1/4 cents higher. Corn was 2 1/4 cents lower to 10 3/4 cents higher. Sorghum was 3 cents lower to 7 cents higher. Soybeans were 9 cents lower to 6 cents higher. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 5 1/4 cents higher from 6.14-6.29 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 3 to 4 cents higher from 5.45-5.52 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 4 to 22 cents lower from 6.65-6.72 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was steady to 5 cents lower from 6.10-6.35 per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 1 1/4 to 2 1/4 cents lower from 3.88 3/4-3.96 1/2 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 3/4 to 3 3/4 cents higher from 3.67-3.76 per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 3 to 6 cents higher from 3.58-3.62 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 3 3/4 to 5 3/4 cents higher from 3.45-3.62 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 3 3/4 cents higher from 3.65-3.68 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 10 3/4 cents higher at 3.28 per bushel. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 2 cents lower to 3 cents higher from 3.00 3/4-3.55 3/4 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not quoted. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not quoted. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 3 cents lower to 7 cents higher from 5.80-6.07 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 4 to 7 cents higher from 6.25-6.75 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 1 cent higher at 8.26 3/4 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 9 cents lower from 8.63 3/4-8.80 3/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 4 to 6 cents higher from 8.52 3/4-8.67 3/4 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent soybean meal, processor rail bid was 14.50 to 28.50 lower from 288.20-304.20 per bushel. Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 0.29 to 0.79 points higher from 27.97- 28.97 per cwt.
