SJ_GR851 St. Joseph, MO Fri Apr 12, 2019 USDA-MO Dept of Ag Market News WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW Compared to last week, cash bids for wheat and soybeans were mixed while corn and sorghum was lower. Ethanol production for week ending April 5th totaled 1.002 million barrels per day, a slight inccrease compared to the week prior. Ethanol stock were decreased by 799,000 barrels to 23.2 mb. Another "bomb cyclone" spread from Colorado through Nebraska, the Dakotas and into Minnesota this week leaving travel nightmares in its path. Rail lines in Eastern Nebraska and western Iowa are not fully funtional yet, however the railroad is making headway into getting their rails "hot". Export sales for week ending April 4 totaled 21.6 million bushels of corn and 9.9 million bushels of soybeans. Wheat was 10 cents lower to 26 cents higher. Corn was 5 1/4 cents lower to 1/4 cent higher. Sorghum was 9 to 10 cents lower. Soybeans were 16 1/4 cents lower to 4 3/4 cents higher. WHEAT: Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 1 cent lower from 5.65 1/2-5.75 1/2 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted. St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 7 to 10 cents lower from 4.92-4.96 per bushel. Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 21 to 26 cents higher from 6.53 1/4- 6.58 1/4 per bushel. Portland US Soft White wheat rail was steady from 5.90-6.05 per bushel. CORN: Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 3 1/4 to 4 1/4 cents lower from 3.73 1/2-3.78 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 5 1/4 cents lower from 3.55-3.68 per bushel. Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was steady to 2 cents lower from 3.55-3.57 per bushel. Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 4 3/4 cents lower to 1/4 cent higher from 3.55-3.64 per bushel. Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 5 1/4 cents lower from 3.49-3.54 per bushel. Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was not quoted. OATS AND BARLEY: US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 6 1/2 to 13 1/2 cents lower from 2.91-3.40 per bushel. US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not quoted. Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not quoted. SORGHUM: US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 10 cents lower from 5.80-5.89 per cwt. Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 9 cents lower from 5.80-6.52 per cwt. OILSEEDS: Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 4 3/4 cents higher at 8.31 1/4 per bushel. Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 9 1/4 to 11 1/4 cents lower from 8.60 1/4-8.77 1/4 per bushel. Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 11 1/4 to 16 1/4 cents lower from 8.40 1/4-8.70 1/4 per bushel. Illinois 48 percent soybean meal, processor rail bid was 4.70 lower from 302.20- 309.20 per bushel. Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 0.22 points lower from 28.23-28.48 per cwt.
