This publication presents the estimates of total head of livestock slaughtered in commercial plants by States and month. Also included: estimates of total live weight and estimates of meat production by month, State, and species. Commercial slaughter includes slaughter in Federally inspected plants and other commercial plants, but excludes farm slaughter. These releases contain data from years 1944 to 1957.
