This publication from 1985 reported on the estimates of farm land values based on data provided by farmers throughout the U.S. Real estate value and farm income are included, with a special map depicting the change in average value of farm real estate per acre by state.

This publication reports on the uses of agricultural machinery. Information is presented on machinery used for harvesting operations (soybeans, wheat, other grains, corn, hay, and silage), drying, hauling, grinding feed, fertilizer application, tilling and planting, and cultivating, clearing and levelling. This report contains data for 1964.

Agricultural Outlook (AO) ceased publication in December 2002. A new magazine, AmberWaves, replaced Agricultural Outlook, FoodReview, and Rural America in February 2003. This archive contains AO publications covering commodity markets and trade, farm policy, and other food- and agriculture-related topics. Each release includes data on individual commodities, farm income, the general economy, agricultural trade, and related issues.

This file contains prices received by farmers for principal crops, livestock and livestock products; indexes of prices received by farmers; feed price ratios; indexes of prices paid by farmers; and parity prices. Historical data covering years 1910-60 reported in 1962 publication.

This full-text file presents the annual summary of indexes of prices received and paid by farmers; prices received for farm commodities by states and prices paid for production items by region and the U.S., past year and earlier years. Beginning in 2010, the Agricultural Prices Summary is no longer published. All price data series are available from NASS's online Quick Stats database. This data is updated monthly by commodity with the most current estimates available.

This publication was published between 1986 and 1993 and includes data on the outlook and impact of land values, the number of farmland transfers during a given time and the average cash rents paid for farm properties. Data contained in the report are based on estimates provided by a sample of farmers throughout the U.S. and information obtained from real estate brokers, county officials, and bank lenders. Information on fertilizer and pesticide use, energy use, machinery uptake and tillage systems are also included.

This annual publication includes data on agricultural production, supplies, consumption, facilities, costs, and returns and is intended as a reference for common use. Foreign agricultural trade statistics of government and non-government shipments from the U.S. to foreign countries are also included in the report. Estimates made for crops, livestock, and poultry are based on a number of sample surveys. The report is divided by sector (e.g. oilseeds, fats and oils, vegetables and melons, dairy and poultry, etc). Farm expenditures and income, insurance, fertilizer and pesticide, consumption, and conservation and forestry statistics are also included in the report.

This report is a weekly or bi-weekly hay report containing trades, ask, and offering prices for forage commodities which include hay, straw, and silage. Hay is classified and graded using USDA hay quality designations and guidelines based on test parameters and/or physical description. Price information is released by USDA’s Livestock, Poultry, and Grain Market News Division under the Voluntary Price Reporting authority of USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Service. This report will display a price range and weighted average price for established trades, and a bid price range if a trade is not established, but an asking price is given by a potential seller or offering price given by a potential buyer.

Also contained in the report is the Alabama weekly feedstuff and production costs report.

This report covers the Uniontown livestock auction. Data presented include number of receipts and cattle sales information. Slaughter and feeder cattle are categorized based on sex, grade, and weight. Open and bred replacement cows and replacement pairs are categorized by age and grade. Each category for all cattle includes the price range for that category. Also included are any market shifts from past auctions.

This is a weekly auction report containing prices paid for feeder and slaughter cattle.  All livestock included in this reports are graded and reported according to official USDA live animal standards or guidelines.  Reports are organized based on USDA’s LPGMN formatting guidelines and instructions, under the Voluntary Price Reporting authority of USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service.
