This full-text annual report presents acreage by planted and/or harvested areas by state for corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, barley, rye, sorghum, rice, peanuts, sunflower, flaxseed, canola, rapeseed, safflower, mustard seed, cotton, dry beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, sugarbeets, alfalfa hay, tobacco, and sugarcane. Starting in 2000, genetically modified plants are reported for selected crops. The Acreage report is a supplement to Crop Production, and the 1986, 1987, 1988, and 1989 issues of Acreage are included in the July Crop Production report itself.

This report is a survey conducted by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) as part of the NIOSH Occupational Injury Surveillance of Production Agriculture project, and contains information on occupational injuries to adults on farms in the US in 2001, 2004, and 2009. Demographic information, source of injury, and changes in incidence of farm injuries are included in the survey.

This report provides insecticide use information on the dairy cattle sector of agriculture. All data refer to the on-farm use of active ingredients contained in insecticides applied during the 1999 calendar year. Data is provided in a rate per head per application and rate per head per year format. Insecticides are applied to cattle and cattle facilities to control mange/mites, lice, flies, and other pests. Pharmaceutical products that treat cattle specifically for internal pests are excluded from the report, however dual purpose products that treat both external and internal pests and can be applied externally are included. Additionally, information on chemical insecticide applications made to cattle facilities is also provided in the report.

This publication provides details about the distribution of agricultural chemical active ingredients commonly applied to selected field and vegetable crops. It presents data on acreage treated with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and other pesticides. This report expands upon the information presented in the Agricultural Chemical Usage 2004 Field Crops Summary published in May 2005 and in the Agricultural Chemical Usage 2004 Vegetable Summary published in July 2005. Chemicals are listed by active ingredient, and distribution rates are described by Percent of Acres Treated, Number of Applications, Rate per Application, and Rate per Crop Year, and is organized by designated groups of crop-specific Program States.

This report provides insecticide use information on the dairy cattle sector of agriculture. All data refer to the on-farm use of active ingredients contained in insecticides applied during the 2001 and 2006 calendar years. Insecticides are applied to dairy cattle and dairy cattle facilities to control mange/mites, lice, flies, and other pests.

This report, released annually from 1991 to 2013, includes statistics about on-farm fertilizer and pesticide usage, and pest management practices on selected field crops and potatoes. Prevention, avoidance, monitoring, and suppression practices are also investigated in the survey. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), and can be found under the NASS Chemical Usage Program.

This report contains the results of two independent surveys of growing and packing practices of fruits and vegetables. Growers were surveyed on field environment, agricultural water, organic fertilizers, harvest-field operations, harvest workers, and trace back systems. Packers were surveyed for information pertaining to packing workers, field packing, facility packing, and trace back systems. Almost all data in the report is presented in the form of percent of the total (grower or packer) population. Grower data is presented in "Percent of Farms" reporting an agricultural practice and the "Percent of Acres" on which this practice is applied, while packer data is presented in "Percent of Packers" and "Percent of Volume."

This release includes statistics for on-farm use of agricultural chemicals and pest management practices from producers of targeted fruit crops in major producing states. The survey population consisted of fruit and berry growers and the survey was intended to provide estimates of chemical usage at the state level. On non-survey year, acreage is based on trends, county extension service data, end of year production surveys, and other indicators. This report is a chemical use survey issued by the National Agricultural Statistics Service on livestock and reports on insecticide use information on dairy cattle and dairy facilities in 17 selected states. Active ingredients classified by the Environmental Protection Agency as pesticides are included in the report. Pharmaceutical products for internal pests are excluded, but dual purpose products that can be applied internally or externally are included. Chemical use data is provided on a rate per head per application and rate per head per year basis. However, there is significant variation based on product formulation, method of application, and pest condition. Insecticide use information on dairy facilities (applied for the control of insects and pests only) is also included in the report.

This release includes pesticide use and pest management data for nursery and floriculture crops in California, Florida, Michigan, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Quantity and frequency of use, types of active ingredients applied, and application practices are included in the survey. The agricultural chemical use estimates in this report are based on data compiled from the Postharvest Chemical Use Survey. All results refer to pesticide applications and integrated pest management at off-farm storage and processing facilities after harvest. On-farm postharvest applications were beyond the scope of this survey. This annual report provides statistical information pertaining to the on-farm use of restricted use pesticides. The agricultural chemical use estimates in this report are based on data compiled from the Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS), Conservation Effects Assessment Project (CEAP), and the Vegetable Chemical Use Survey. The report data is grouped by Program States, and contains surveys of chemical application on cotton and apple crops. The data is summarized by product, and only application data for active ingredients which are part of a restricted use pesticide are included in the report.

This release includes information on insecticides applied to sheep and sheep facilities. Insecticides are applied to sheep and sheep facilities to control mange/mites, lice, flies, and other pests. The 22 major sheep producing States, accounting for over 80 percent of total U.S. sheep inventory, are included in this release. Please note the change in program scope from 2000 to 2010; the 2001 release included all sheep and sheep facilities, the 2011 chemical use data release excluded feedlots and operations with less than 20 ewes. Internal use pharmaceutical products are excluded from the report, but dual purpose products that can be applied internally or externally are included. Insecticide use information on chemical applications to sheep facilities are also included in the report. All data refer to the on-farm use of active ingredients contained in insecticides applied during the 1999 and 2005 calendar years. Insecticides are applied to swine and swine facilities to control mange/mites, lice, flies, and other pests. Chemical data are provided on a rate per head per application and rate per head per year basis. However, significant variations may be observed due to formulation, application method, and pest condition. Internal use pharmaceutical products are excluded from the report, but dual purpose products that can be applied internally or externally are included. Insecticide use information on chemical applications to swine facilities (excluding rodenticides and termite applications) are also included in the report.

This release includes statistics for on-farm use of fertilizers, agricultural chemicals and pest management practices from producers of targeted vegetable crops in 19 states. The chemical use estimates focus on acreage treated with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and other pesticides for selected vegetable crops. Information for fruit is collected in odd numbered years, while vegetable information is collected in even numbered years. Beginning in May 2010, NASS agricultural chemical use data are published to the Quick Stats 2.0 database only (full-text publications have been discontinued), the latest data releases are available under the NASS Chemical Usage Program.

This yearly full-text report provides data on the average agricultural land values. Includes, by state and region, average value per acre for farm real estate (farmland and buildings), irrigated and non-irrigated cropland, and pastureland. Estimates are based mainly on the June Area Survey, and utilizes approximately 11,000 one square mile segments of land. Land is grouped by economic regions: Northeast, Lake States, Corn Belt, Northern Plains, Appalachian, Southeast, Delta States, Southern Plains, Mountain, and Pacific.

This bulletin contains the final estimates for agricultural land values, including the average value per acre for farm real estate, cropland, irrigated and non-irrigated farmland, and pasture, as well as the real estate value of farm buildings. Land value estimates are published annually, and Census figures are used to benchmark farm real estate values. This series contains data from years 1994 to 2013.

This publication reports on the uses of agricultural machinery. Information is presented on machinery used for harvesting operations (soybeans, wheat, other grains, corn, hay, and silage), drying, hauling, grinding feed, fertilizer application, tilling and planting, and cultivating, clearing and levelling. This report contains data for 1964.

This file contains prices received by farmers for principal crops, livestock and livestock products; indexes of prices received by farmers; feed price ratios; indexes of prices paid by farmers; and parity prices. Historical data covering years 1910-60 reported in 1962 publication.

This full-text file presents the annual summary of indexes of prices received and paid by farmers; prices received for farm commodities by states and prices paid for production items by region and the U.S., past year and earlier years. Beginning in 2010, the Agricultural Prices Summary is no longer published. All price data series are available from NASS's online Quick Stats database. This data is updated monthly by commodity with the most current estimates available.
